Total Immersion Frees the D'Fusion Platform for Techies

It was published this week that Total Immersion will offer its D’Fusion platform free of charge for non-commercial use. The team at TI have employed this as an obvious attempt to educate the industry and positively influence uptake on the use of the technology.
Educating the industry is great, but I think this is a slightly misguided campaign directed at technical professionals rather than the group of professionals that can actually put augmented reality to use appropriately.
What I mean by this is that we receive a high-level of enquiries from companies interested in AR and they regularly comment on our approach…
The difference, as indicated by our clients, is that we approach the client’s campaign with a marketing focus and a keen interest in improving or enhancing business. We accomplish this through digital insight that can be provided to a business through an augmented reality experience.
We of course deliver the desired wow-factor, but we also look deeper into what the client is aiming to achieve as a competitive organisation. We implement information harvesting mechanisms that give insight that can be turned in to business intelligence.
Hidden Creative’s focus, a far more commercial focus, is simply a more mercantile and reasonable way to collaborate with those interested in utilising augmented reality for their business.
