Introducing the most sophisticated and fully capable augmented reality device on the market – The Ouidoo Gaian Scene
First and foremost – this is one heck of a piece of kit...
Sorry that the pictures aren’t ideal and they definitely don’t do the device justice.
QderoPateo launched the Ouidoo Gaian Scene Device on Friday in Shanghai. The event was exclusive and many of the leaders in augmented reality and many related technologies were present to witness the unveiling of the innovative Ouidoo Gaian device.
As you would expect, a device that promises such immense sophistication requires some horsepower. Below is the general specification of the Ouidoo Gaian:
The device uses what is known as the Divinitus Chipset which consists of a 26 Core CPU which is capable of processing information at 8 Gigaflops. A gigaflop is a measure of computer speed; a gigaflop is a billion floating-point operations per second.
The device comes with a 3.5 inch / 8.89 cm display and has output for 1080p video.
One of the most interesting aspects of the device is that despite the massive potential for power consumption, this area has been given great consideration. The device maintains an ultra low consumption of power and has a battery with the capacity to operate the device for an entire day.
The device will hit the street in China sometime in June 2010 and will have a price tag of between $500-600 USD but will depend on carrier subsidy.
